Summertime as a Stay at Home Mom
I LOVE summer. It is my favorite time of year. It is the few weeks when I get a reprieve from my every day job as a full time Spanish teacher and get to pretend I am a stay at home mom to my beautiful 3 year old son. What's not to love about that? I know being a stay at home mom isn't for everyone, but honestly if I could do it full time I would. (Which is a goal I am working towards, but more on that another day.) I love the freedom and flexibility I have during the summer months. This summer in particular I am excited as little man is at a great age! We are going to spend a lot of time outside, going to the park, visiting the library and scheduling play dates. I intend to make this a memorable summer for us (or at the very least for me). It is crazy how FAST time has flown since I first brought him home from the hospital. I don't want to let him grow up so quickly without me being able to enjoy every minute (even the frustration filled ones). I also intend to get much more regular with my blogging this summer and keeping track of all the fun things little man and I do seems like a good way to get started with that!
My favorite moments from today…
1. Little man sleeping in a little later than normal.
2. Seeing how independent my boy is. He did a great job of picking out his clothes and putting them on all by himself.
3. Having little man help me clean up the toys he forgot to put away last night. He didn't even complain!
4. Playing outside with the water toys.
Surprise of the day…
how much this little guy can eat! Seriously, every time I turned around he was ready for another "snack" or had already gone to the fridge or pantry to get one! It is crazy. I'm a little frightened of what he will be like as a teenager!
